When cops want your digits

Mar 28, 2025

Babe, wake up — the cops are here.

They rolled up like it's Mardi Gras.

But it ain't beads they're after — it's your tenant.

There's a warrant with his name on it.

And now they want your door code to get in.

Whatcha gonna do?

You know what they say:

"Sometimes life hands you lemons, but sometimes it hands you a rattlesnake in a suit."

Wait, do they say that? They should...

Here's the deal:

Don't give cops the door code just because your tenant's got an arrest warrant.

Cops will act like it's no big deal.

It is.

Search warrant?  Different story.

But until they slide you a piece of paper that says search warrant, keep the code to yourself.

This happened to a Legal Plan Member this week. Thankfully, they gave us a ring before the sirens turned into paperwork — and never paid a dime.
