The #1 mistake with eviction notices

Oct 12, 2023

So, you've got this swanky pad and the Tenant keeps pushing your buttons.

You've had enough.

So you figure, "I'll slap an eviction notice on their door - that'll show 'em!"

Oh... kayyyy.

Well, um, in case ya didn't know:

That's a bad idea. And it'll have you rewriting Britney's pop classic to "Oops, I gotta start again."

Any decedent Tenant lawyer would chew you up and spit you out.

You can only post an eviction notice on a Tenant's door if you believe the property is abandoned.

And you better be Sherlock-level certain before playing that game.

Do it wrong, and you'll be starting the eviction process over - again.

Ain't no body got time for that!

So, in a nutshell...

Don't post an eviction notice to the door unless that home's as empty as a Kardashian's bookshelf.

There are only 4 legal ways to serve an eviction notice.  If it's not one of these, you're doing it wrong.
