93% of landlords aren't disclosing this (yikes)

Dec 19, 2024

It's been law for a year.

But most landlords aren't doing it.

Radon disclosures used to be for home sales.

Plot twist:

It's now for rentals too.

Here's a crazy stat.

93% of landlords are playing Russian roulette with this *new* disclosure rule.

We made that number up, but you get the point.

Yes, it's another form you gotta give.

But hey, at least it costs $0.

Well, unless you forget to give it.

Then we're talking $5K+.

And no, this isn't optional, like one of those "employees wash hands" signs.

Give the radon disclosure and pamphlet before signing the lease.

It's just paper.

But will save you a ton.

That's issue #138 of The Brief.

Funny thing: some tenants see this form and think your rental is a toxic waste dump. 🙄 It just tells them their rights, like an iTunes agreement (but actually important).
